Moderasi Beragama dalam Perspektif Aswaja An-Nahdliyyah dan Islam Nusantara: Kajian Kepustakaan

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the concept of religious moderation from the perspective of Aswaja An-Nahdliyyah and Islam Nusantara as a model of moderate religiosity in Indonesia. The issue of religious moderation has become crucial with the emergence of various forms of intolerance and religious extremism in a pluralistic society. This study uses a qualitative approach with library research . Data were collected through documentation of books, scientific journal articles, official Nahdlatul Ulama documents, and relevant scientific works published between 2020 and 2025. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive-analytical techniques through grouping themes, interpreting concepts, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that religious moderation from the perspective of Aswaja An-Nahdliyyah is based on the core values of tawasuth (moderation), tawazun (balance), tasamuh (tolerance), and i'tidal (justice), which form an inclusive and non-extremist religious attitude. Meanwhile, Islam Nusantara represents the practice of contextual religious moderation by integrating Islamic teachings and local culture without eliminating the substance of Islamic values. These two perspectives complement each other, with Aswaja An-Nahdliyyah serving as the theological foundation, while Islam Nusantara serves as the socio-cultural expression of religious moderation. This research contributes to enriching the study of moderate Islam and can serve as a reference for the development of religious education, cultural outreach, and strengthening religious moderation policies in Indonesia. Further research is recommended to expand this study through fieldwork to gain a deeper understanding
